LocalTunes is a streaming Internet radio station that broadcasts original music by local DC, MD and VA indie bands. The DC local music scene is simply amazing and more people need to hear it. We play music written and recorded by local bands with all kinds of different sounds. Take a few minutes and listen to what the DC local music scene has to offer.

In the coming weeks and months this site will have tons more information about the VA, MD and DC local bands, where and when they are playing, and the DC indie scene in general. Eventually our playlist and rotation will be dictated by you, the listener. We want good local music to be heard. We don't want to spoon feed you what you are supposed to like. You'll tell us what YOU like and we'll play it.
